Tourist Attractions

Opposite the Custom House at Donegal Quay, you'll find one of the city's main tourist attractions. Situated here is The Weir, which is a series of steel gates that are controlled by a computer programme. These steel gates rise and fall with the tide and were constructed to maintain a certain water level.

The majority of the city's nightspots can be found on the Golden Mile. This one-mile long stretch is lined with internet cafés, bars, clubs, pubs, restaurants, cinemas and theatres. There are many more interesting sites and tourist attractions to explore in this interesting city.

The city is host for the Belfast Craft Village during November, Northern Ireland's biggest and diverse craft event. The event takes place at the 110-year-old Victorian St Georges Market. This venue also holds markets on Tuesdays and Fridays.
